Places I Shop

If you live in the area, maybe I will run into you at one of the farmers markets.  I will be the person taking pictures of the food and tasting them along the way!

Downtown Riverside Farmers Market:  I go there for all my fresh local produce and free-range eggs.  Every once in a while there are vendors who sell free-range meats.  The market meets from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday on the Main Street pedestrian mall between Fifth and Sixth streets.

Old Town Temecula Farmers Market:  This is bigger than the one in Riverside with artisan bread, natural dog food and treats like crepes and tamales.  The market meets from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday at 28464 Front St.

Trader Joe’s:  I like their cheese, wine, wild-caught fish, free-range chicken, organic milk and Greek yogurt.

Clark’s Nutrition and Natural Foods Markets:  They have a good selection of soy products such as tempeh and tofu, as well as low-sodium or no-salt-added canned vegetables and beans.  The store in Riverside consistently carries grass-fed beef and other humanely-raised meats.

Henry’s Farmers Market:  I hit up the bulk bins for dried beans, flour and grains such as millet and quinoa.
