Picking my favorite cookbooks is difficult as I have relied on them all at one point or another.  But here are the ones I turn to time and again.

“Cooking” by James Peterson

“The Bread Baker’s Apprentice: Mastering the Art of Extraordinary Bread” by Peter Reinhart

“On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the Kitchen” by Harold McGee

I love food magazines “Saveur” and “Eating Well.”  And listen to “The Splendid Table” on National Public Radio religiously.
